Count Basie, Mildred Bailie, Dizzy Gillespie

Sidney Bichet, Pee Wee Russell, Prez
In 1996, a collection of 34 paintings, by Sonoma County artist David Peterson, was purchased by J.C. Leissring Fine Art. The body of work was originally commissioned by John Fairweather, owner of Prez Records. The work, inspired by photographs chosen by John Fairweather, was painted during the period 1982 through 1992. The medium employed was acrylic with air-brush method.
This collection, now known as The Fairweather-Peterson Collaboration, will be kept as a single work, as they were initially conceived.
