Post fire: a wealth of debris boxes; a lack of house

we were in the process of trying to bring the house back to life. All of the 'gengerbread, railings, fascia boards had been removed for stripping. There were no "fire stops" in those days, and a birds nest was set afire by the stipping torch resulting in what was a kind of Chinese over. The fire occupied a region of the house hidden from view--below the flat roof but above the ceiling of the main room. The fire consumed 90 per cent of the house leaving only the first-floor walls and some of the rear. I resolved to rebuild.
